We’re back after a week off for the holiday and Adam sounds less like a robot! We run through some holiday pickups and what we’ve been doing over the past two weeks, as well as our games of 2009, and the new releases.

This week, Jim and Adam sit down with Runic Games folks to talk about the hit ARPG Torchlight. Max Schaefer (CEO), Jason Beck (Art Director), John Dunbar (Zombie Pyrotechnician), and Wonder Russell (Minister of Culture) start off the interview and answer all of your burning questions. Most importantly, we find out that Torchlight, the MMO will indeed support dedicated servers. We’ve got the winners to last week’s contest, and the Runic Games folks were kind enough to give us three copies of Torchlight to give away.
For some reason, both Ben and Adam decided to bring untested weapons into combat, so we were combatting a few technical difficulties this show… thankfully, it is completely listenable. Now that Adam and Jim have played Borderlands, we talk a bit about that as well as the new Left 4 Dead 2 demo and a lot about DJ Hero… an a little about getting griefed by a post-it note in Demon’s Souls. There’s another giveaway this week too.
Ben loves Borderlands and he spends way too much time gushing about it on this week’s episode. SnakeMGS sends in a voicemail and poses an interesting question, we talk about how everyone seems to include a “horde mode” now in their game, and we’ve even got a giveaway which is part of a “three pronged attack.” Listen for details!
Tonight, Adam conducts an interview with Chair Entertainment’s (Shadow Complex) creative director and co-founder, Donald Mustard. They talk about Nazis, cheating, and GI Joe. Then the rest of the crew discusses plenty of fun topics like Infinity Ward’s latest anger inducing PC rumor, the Borderlands EvAv Steam Group, Alpha Protocol’s tardy delay announcement, and a bunch about Brutal Legend.
Things get a bit salty when the crew talks about Borderlands and Randy Pitchford’s asinine comments as of late. We also talk at length about Left 4 Dead’s Crash Course campaign as well as give away some stuff to winners. Wow, DH11 won? That’s crazy talk.
User feedback kicks off this evening with two audio reviews and a quick demo impression of Batman: Arkham Asylum, followed up talk of the new Left 4 Dead campaign, more delays hitting major games, and a very brief political piece regarding senators and gamers. Oh, and we announce the 4 winners of Madballs in Babo: Invasion.
Kragg returns as a guest host with Lou tonight and they take quick run through some recent news as well as some upcoming releases that the folks are looking forward to.
