How To Make Stuffed Hen Breasts

This is an additional east recipe, that like I stated above, can even be prepped prematurely! However listed here are some recommendations on the way to make the method go easily.

What Measurement Hen Breasts?

The recipe calls for 2 1/2 pounds of boneless, skinless hen breasts. I have a tendency to purchase my hen in bulk, so this usually means 3-Four giant breasts. For this recipe I like to cut them in half, so I’ve a total of 6 breasts to work with, which are a bit of larger than a deck of cards.

This can differ, in fact, on the dimensions of your breasts, and the thickness, but I usually attempt to reduce my breasts into 5 (ish) ounce items.

BUT, please word for this recipe you’ll be slicing pockets into the breast to stuff them, so don’t fear if they’re thick. Thicker breasts are easier to stuff.

What Can I Add To the Stuffing Combination?

You will get really artistic in what you determine to stuff into the hen. With this recipe, I’ve stored it super easy, while nonetheless packing in plenty of flavor! BUT listed here are a number of different concepts to add in:

  • Pecans. Or really any sort of nut would work great as an addition to the filling!
  • Totally different Cheese. If cheddar isn’t your thing, go forward and swap it out on your favourite. A cheese that melts easily works nice!
  • Craisins. Dried fruit would pair splendidly with the apples on this recipe!
  • Sausage. A bit of sausage added to the mixture might really be superb within the recipe, whereas nonetheless holding it lower carb!

Can You Bake This Stuffed Hen As an alternative?

Should you needed to skip the skillet choice and bake this recipe you absolutely can. Notice that right here’s what you need to do:

  1. Comply with the hen prep, as written within the recipe, omitting the flour.
  2. Stir together the wine, broth, and dijon mustard and set aside.
  3. Place the hen right into a baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes in a 400°F oven or till the hen reaches an inner temperature of 165°F.
  4. When the hen is nearly carried out, pour the wine combination right into a saucepan and prepare dinner on medium warmth till it’s lowered by half, stirring sometimes.
  5. When the hen is completed it’s going to have released liquid…drain this.
  6. Drizzle the wine reduction on prime and serve!

OR

  1. Comply with all of the steps 1-7 as written within the recipe. After you’ve seared your hen, place it into a baking dish and add in the wine combination.
  2. Bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes, or till the hen reaches an inner temperature of 165°F.

I gave you multiple options, depending on your choice. I consider the skillet technique provides you with probably the most taste. Searing the meat adds taste, and naturally, decreasing the wine combination will intensify its flavor.

BUT when you choose to only bake the hen with out searing it’s an easy technique in the event you don’t feel like breaking out the skillet! Either method you choose to prep this stuffed hen recipe, I hope you take pleasure in!
